JCB Lends a Hand to Help Quake-Ravaged Ecuador

Following Saturday’s shattering 7.8 magnitude Earthquake in Ecuador, JCB has donated a 3CX backhoe loader (valued at $100,000) to help aid in rescue and clean-up operations. The machine is being managed by the Provincial Council of Manabi, the province hit hardest by the earthquake. It will be put to work first in the city of Pedernales Canton, where more than 90 percent of homes have been destroyed by the earthquake. Read More

World's First 3-D Printed Excavator on Display

CONEXPO-CON/AGG and IFPE 2017 have collaborated to introduce the world’s first fully functional 3-D printed excavator. The event also marks the first large scale use of steel in 3-D printing. The show, which will take place March 7-11, 2017 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, will include a second excavator printing that will take place live on the show floor. Read More

Equipmentwatch Market Report Shows Decrease in Resale Values and Increase in Auction Values

Equipment Watch’s market report for the month of March 2016 shows over $29 billion in sales, with resales of over 200,000 units accounting for the majority of revenue. Prices for construction, lift/access, and agriculture industries remain stable, with commercial trucks seeing a price deflation. With few exceptions (trucking), the market is balanced by most companies and equipment types experiencing a decrease in resale value and increases in auction value. View Report

American Concrete Institute Honors Outstanding Contributions to the Industry

On April 17, The ACI presented awards to over 100 industry parties at The Concrete Convention and Exposition in Milwaukee, WI. Among the categories recognized were those who had achieved 50 and 25 year membership in the Institute, as well as Honorary Members (The ACI’s highest honor), “which recognizes persons of eminence in the field of the Institute’s interest.” Those recognized were from both the USA and abroad.
